Care guide

Caring for Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight'

Medium Indirect light

Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' loves bright spaces with medium indirect light. It can also tolerate lower light conditions but should be kept away from direct sunlight to prevent burning.

Frequent watering

Give Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' a full watering when the top 2" of soil is dry to your finger. Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' likes to be consistently moist but never waterlogged.

High humidity

Like most Scindapsus, Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' prefers higher humidity of around 60 to 80%. A humidifier may be necessary, otherwise Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' will be happy in a humidity cabinet or greenhouse. Check out our guide for increasing humidity for your houseplants.

Fertilize Every 4-6 weeks

During its active growing season (spring to early fall), fertilize Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' with a balanced, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer as instructed. Apply the solution to well-watered soil, avoiding foliage contact. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks, reducing or pausing in winter. Watch for signs of over-fertilization, adjusting the routine if needed.

Propagate by Stem Cutting

Propagate Scindapsus treubii 'Moonlight' by stem cutting: take cutting from a healthy stem that includes a node and at least one leaf. Place the cutting in damp substrate or water, ensuring the node is covered. Remove the bottom leaves to prevent any from sitting under the surface. Replace the water weekly and or keep the substrate moist until the plant begins to root.

  • Proudly Canadian

We take pride in sourcing locally made products to support our community and our fellow small Canadian businesses. Most of our plants come from Canadian growers, in addition to what we grow ourselves in Saint-Lazare, Quebec.

  • Temperature controlled shipping

Shipping plants in Canada can be tricky, which is why we include heat packs and cold protection on all of our orders shipped in the winter months. We also keep an eye on the weather and delay shipments if we think your plants could arrive damaged. Learn more about shipping here.

  • We’re plant lovers, just like you

Plantasy started out as an outlet for our obsession of tropical plants which is why we try to stock a large variety of the plants we love to grow. You won't find anything too trendy here - we prefer to wait until prices are reasonable before adding a plant to our catalog.
