Care guide

Caring for Peperomia 'Hope'

Peperomia 'Hope' will thrive in moderate to bright, indirect light and prefers room temperatures between 18 and 24Β°C. Allow the top half of soil to dry between waterings and choose a well-draining potting mix with perlite, pumice, or orchid bark.

During the growing season (spring to early fall), feed Peperomia 'Hope' with diluted all purpose fertilizer and prune leggy growth to encourage a fuller plant. Pinch or trim the stems just above a leaf node. Repot Peperomia 'Hope' when it becomes root-bound or outgrows its pot. Spring is usually a good time for repotting.

Keep an eye out for common pests like mealybugs and spider mites and propagate through leaf or stem cuttings when needed.

Medium Indirect light

Peperomia 'Hope' loves bright spaces with medium indirect light. It can also tolerate lower light conditions but should be kept away from direct sunlight to prevent burning.

Frequent watering

Give Peperomia 'Hope' a full watering when the top 2" of soil is dry to your finger. Peperomia 'Hope' likes to be consistently moist but never waterlogged.

High humidity

Like most Peperomia, Peperomia 'Hope' prefers higher humidity of around 60 to 80%. A humidifier may be necessary, otherwise Peperomia 'Hope' will be happy in a humidity cabinet or greenhouse. Check out our guide for increasing humidity for your houseplants.

Fertilize Every 4-6 weeks

During its active growing season (spring to early fall), fertilize Peperomia 'Hope' with a balanced, water-soluble houseplant fertilizer as instructed. Apply the solution to well-watered soil, avoiding foliage contact. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks, reducing or pausing in winter. Watch for signs of over-fertilization, adjusting the routine if needed.
